The Brāhmaṇa-s (devanāgarī: ब्राह्मणम्) are a collection of ancient Indian texts with commentaries on the hymns of the four Vedas. They are primarily a digest incorporating myths, legends, the explanation of Vedic rituals and in some cases philosophy.
