Context and background

Physical description of letter

The original is in the British Library, Folio 3. George Linton and Virginia Hanson wrote of this letter and ML-109,

These two notes are in red ink on a single sheet of folded heavy white paper, about 6" X 9" [15.2 X 22.9 cm] in size. One letter is written diagonally across one side and the other is written diagonally across the reverse side.[1]
