Abbreviations

Each article about one of the Mahatma Letters has a proper title such as Mahatma Letter No. 35, using the chronological numbering system. However, the same article can be located quickly by searching for ML35 or ml35. To locate an article using the Barker numbering, just add the letter "B" to the search. MLB41 or mlb41 will also reach Mahatma Letter No. 35.

Common nicknames and variant names are also redirected to facilitate searching, so that hpb will redirect to the article for Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, and Babajee will take the reader to Babaji. Similarly, names and terms with diacritical marks are redirected from simple English spellings, as Jinarajadasa will lead to Curuppumullage Jinarājadāsa.

Linked phrases

In the transcription of a letter, the reader may encounter a word or phrase in blue. That is a link to another page within the TS Wiki. Positioning the mouse over the blue words will show the name of the linked page. Examples:

  • The phrase "Old Lady" in blue links to the article [[Helena Petrovna Blavatsky]].
  • When Koot Hoomi refers to the "August number" the linked page will be [[The Theosophist (periodical)]], since "August number" refers to that periodical.
