Pearl F. Dower was the third Guardian-in-Chief of the Temple of the People, serving from 1937-1968.

Pearl Frances Wilshire was born on August 27, 1886 in Oregon. By 1930 she had been trained as a nurse and was working at the Sanatorium in Halycon, California, headed by Dr. William H. Dower. After the doctor's wife Jane died in 1933, he became married to Pearl in 1936. He passed away on October 5, 1937, and Pearl adopted his daughter Flamore, who was then 18.[1]

With the doctor's death, Pearl became Guardian-in-Chief of the Temple, and continued in that role for the rest of her life.

She died on April 5, 1968 and was buried in Halcyon Cemetery.[2]
