Tenzin Gyatso, His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama of Tibet, is the temporal head of the Tibetan people and spiritual leader of millions of Buddhists. Renowned as an advocate for peace, he has been awarded the Nobel Prize and the Congressional Gold Medal. The Theosophical Society has enjoyed a long and warm relationship with him.
