The Brotherhood of Luxor was a group of adepts. Several of the Masters of the Wisdom are known to have been associated with it. The group was divided into at least three sections: Ellora, Zoroaster, and Solomon.

Not to be confused with the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor. Curuppumullage Jinarājadāsa called HBL a "quack organization" in Letters from the Masters of the Wisdom, whereas the Brotherhood of Luxor is a subset of the Brotherhood of Adepts.[1]

Known members of the Brotherhood

Certain individuals have been identified as members of the Brotherhood, largely based on information in Letter No. 3 of Letters from the Masters of the Wisdom, Second Series.

Serapis Bey ("Maha Sahib") was a member of the Ellora Section.

Tuitit Bey wrote under his signature that he was of the Observatory of Luxor.

Polydorus_Isurenus belonged to the Section of Solomon.

Helena Petrovna Blavatsky probably became familiar with this group during her extended visit to Egypt. Her membership was indicated in Letter No. 12 of Letters from the Masters of the Wisdom, Second Series, in which she is referred to as an "Ellorian," or member of the Ellora Section.
