Transcribed from the original at Adyar. It is written on a slip of paper, and must have been annexed to an article sent to The Theosophist which, during H.P.B.’s absence, was under the direction of Damodar K. Mavalankar. The article referred to appears in The Theosophist ‘Supplement’, February 1884, p. 30. It is a letter by V. Coopooswamy Iyer, M.A., F.T.S., of Madura, who describes the incident of a letter which was phenomenally delivered in the presence of several people. ‘Subram’s statement’ refers to the letter of Dr Sir S. Subramania Iyer, B.L., then High Court Vakil, Madura, who also describes certain phenomena which happened in his presence.[2]
