Marginal note by Koot Hoomi: A good, earnest Theosophist a mystic whose co-operation ought to be secured thro' you.
Letter from Francesca Arundale to Helena Petrovna Blavatsky: 77 ELGIN CRESCENT I hereby forward my subscription for The Theosophist for next year. I need hardly tell you how much I value your paper from which I am continually learning something. As members (myself and mother) of the B.T.S. I take this opportunity of saying that I trust the private religious opinions of individuals will not lead to a separation from the parent society, as I cannot conceive but that by so doing we should be taking a retrograde step away from any chance of obtaining further enlightenment. We have of course read Colonel Olcott’s letter addressed to the members of the B.T.S. and agree with the views it expresses. Please accept dear Madam our sincere good wishes for your success in your arduous labours.
