Helena Petrovna Blavatsky was co-founder of the Theosophical Society in 1875 with Henry Steel Olcott, William Quan Judge, and others. They brought the ancient teachings called Theosophy to the modern world.

HPB editing Lucifer magazine

Blavatsky photographs and portraits is a compilation of all the known photographs and many other depictions of Theosophical Society Founder Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. The year, name of photographer or artist, and some descriptive information are provided for each image. The photographs can be downloaded.

The round photo shown here was taken by William Quan Judge in 1888 using an early Kodak camera, while HPB was working at her desk on a manuscript of Lucifer magazine.
