Helena Petrovna Blavatsky was co-founder of the Theosophical Society in 1875 with Henry Steel Olcott, William Quan Judge, and others. They brought the ancient teachings called Theosophy to the modern world.

Dr. Franz Hartmann

Dr. Franz Hartmann was a German medical doctor, Theosophist, occultist, astrologer, and author. His works include several books on esoteric studies; biographies of Jakob Böhme and Paracelsus; and a translation of the Bhagavad Gita into German. He was at one time a co-worker of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and Henry Steel Olcott at the Adyar headquarters of the Theosophical Society. In 1896 he founded a German Theosophical Society, and was the editor of the journal Lotusblüten.
