This volume is highly useful in the study of The Mahatma Letters to A. P Sinnett. It provides background and context, and a description of the physical appearance of each letter. The arrangement corresponds to the numbering scheme that was devised by A. Trevor Barker.
Editions
The Readers Guide was first published by the Theosophical Publishing House in January 1972, containing 308 pages.
A revised and enlarged second edition of 430 pages was published in 1988 with some changes in the chronological arrangement of the letters. This edition is the one that served as a basis for the fourth edition in chronological sequence of The Mahatma Letters to A. P. Sinnett.
