The Word: a monthly magazine devoted to philosophy, science, religion, Eastern thought, occultism, theosophy and the brotherhood of humanity was published by the Theosophical Publishing Company in New York from October, 1904 to September, 1917. The editor was Harold W. Percival. Alexander Wilder was a frequent contributor. One important series was of Abner Doubleday's translation from the French of Lévi's Dogme et rituel de la haute magie beginning in October, 1912 and continuing monthly, with few exceptions, into 1915.
