'''Edwin S. Ralphs''' (1819-1883) was one of the [[Founders]] of the [[Theosophical Society]].

Ralphs was born in Wales in 1819. He married Jane Frances Williams and emigrated to the United States as a young man. They had several children and lived in Brooklyn, where Ralphs died on [[August 3]], 1883.

In 1875 when the [[Theosophical Society]] was formed, Ralphs was president of the company that produced '''''Goulding´s Manual of New York and General Statistical Guide, 1875'''''. He also held other positions in business as a vice president and as a cashier, according to business directories of the time.
