The Canadian Federation of the Theosophical Society was established in 1924 and was issued a certificate by the international headquarters at Adyar on April 29th, 1999 confirming it to be a Regional Association. On August 2, 2001, the Canadian Federation was incorporated as the Canadian Theosophical Association under the Canada Corporations Act. The Canadian Theosophical Association is the official representative within Canada of The Theosophical Society at Adyar. It is an integral and indivisible part of The Theosophical Society, but is constituted as an autonomous body composed of members of lodges, study centres and members-at-large.
