Arthur Digby Besant was the son of Annie Besant. He was prominent in the London insurance world. He met H. P. Blavatsky as a young person and joined the Theosophical Society (Adyar) in 1893. Mr. Besant died on April 29, 1960, at the age of 91.[1]
