Adyar Library
Mr. Old's name appears frequently in early issues of The Theosophist, in brief notices about the library, such as this:

The undersigned acknowledges with thanks the receipt of a copy of Manira S'âstra from the Hon. S. Subramania Iyer; also the gift of Rs. 30 to the Adyar Library Fund from Mr. R. Sorria Row Naidu, Masulipatam.

Theosophical work
During his time at Adyar, Mr. Old also lectured in the Indian branches:
Madanapalle. - Mr. Old visited the Branch on July 12th and remined nearly a week. During this time he dlivered two lectures, one on the "Ethical Basis of Theosophy"; the other, "Vindication of Yoga." The meetings were presided over respectively by the District Munsiff and Tahsildar of the place. Mr. Old also presided over a meeting of th eboys of the Theosophical class attached to the Branch.
