Madame Blavatsky and Col. Olcott

Foundation Day is celebrated by Theosophists on November 17 in memory of the Founding of the Theosophical Society in 1875. Throughout the world, members gather at lodge meetings to participate in programs about Theosophical Society history and the legacy of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and Colonel Henry Steel Olcott. At the Society's international headquarters in Adyar, Chennai, India, a special presentation is always scheduled in the Great Hall of the Headquarters Building, with garlands placed on the life-size statues of the Founders.
