Śaṅkarācārya (780 CE - 820 CE), pronounced [aːd̪i ɕəŋkəɾə], also known as Adi Shankara, Ādi Śaṅkarācāri, Śaṅkara Bhagavatpādācārya and Ādi Śaṅkarācārya was an Indian philosopher who consolidated the doctrine of advaita vedānta.
