History

Objects

Like other major branches of the Theosophical Movement, the lodge is centered around certain principles, or Objects:

I. To form the nucleus of a Universal Brotherhood of Humanity, without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste, or color;
II. The study of ancient and modern religions, philosophies and sciences, and the demonstration of the importance of such study; and
III. The investigation of the unexplained laws of Nature and the psychical powers latent in man.

[1]

For a history of changes to these principles over time, see Objects of the Theosophical Society. The ULT Objects are very similar to those of the Theosophical Society (Adyar).

Principles

The best source of information about the ULT is in the article, "The United Lodge of Theosophists: Its Mission and Future," which is available at website of the Phoenix ULT.
