Later years
In 1930 the Count's widow, Bertha, had fallen into hard times. "She is now eighty years old, and ill and helpless. She made a living by laundry work, but has become so ill that she can only live by charity." Donations were solicited to be sent to her in Hof Gastein, Austria.[1]
