• lost one refers to "The Rosicrucian Jewel of the 18th Degree, which H.P.B. possessed, and which she [later] gave to Dr. Annie Besant. It is said to have belonged to Cagliostro."
• The specific meaning of gueburs has not been identified. Guebur is a surname in Spanish and Portuguese, and also a Cornish saint.
