Sisyphus (Greek: Σίσυφος, Sísyphos) in Greek mythology was a king punished by Zeus to roll an immense boulder up a hill, only to watch it roll back down, and to repeat this action forever. This punishment was due to Sisyphus' belief that his cleverness surpassed that of Zeus Himself.
