History
In 1921 Wadia resigned from the management of the enterprise and president Annie Besant appointed Fritz Kunz to succeed him.[1]
James S. Perkins described TPH in a booklet about Adyar published in 1975:
The work of the T.P.H. includes, besides publishing and selling, the export of books to destinations throughout the world. The T.P.H. was founded in 1913, when it took over the work of The Theosophist Office and Bookshop. It has published about 700 major books of leading writers of the Theosophical Society, in addition to a large number of booklets and pamphlets. Many of the books have been through a number of editions.[2]
