Countess Wachtmeister

Constance Wachtmeister, a Swedish countess of French-English ancestry, was one of Madame Blavatsky's closest friends during the 1880s. After HPB's death in 1891, Countess Wachtmeister lectured widely, helping Annie Besant to form lodges in the United States. She wrote memoirs of her times with HPB, plus several other books.
