The Oriental Department Papers was a periodical series published monthly or semi-monthly by William Quan Judge, from January 1891 to March/April 1897. Each issue comprised one or more scholarly articles about Eastern literature, or translations from Sanskrit and other languages. Some of the major contributors were Charles Johnston and Manilal N. Dvidedi, and Shankaracharya was frequently cited; many of the articles were anonymous.
