The Adyar Bulletin (periodical)

The Adyar Bulletin was the newsletter of the Theosophical Society based in Adyar, India. It was published from January, 1908 to October, 1929, with Annie Besant as the editor. An announcement of its publication stated:

Its primary purpose is to furnish a medium of intelligence between the unattached members and the headquarters of the Society. Speaking of the isolation of members-at-large, Mrs. Besant says: "How little do we know, for instance, respecting our members in South America, or in South or West Africa, in Egypt, in Persia, in China. Yet they ar scattered everywhere, animated by the same hopes, the same truths, the same ideals, and we ought to know each other and to exchange greetings now and then."

The Bulletin will be issued monthly. The January [1908] number contains newsy letters from correspondents in various countries and notes of travel by Mrs. Besant in her usual eloquent style... It may be obtained by others by sending the equivalent of two shillings sixpence to the office of the Theosophist, Adyar, Madras, India, or to any agent of the Theosophist in America.
