Most Mahatma Letters – correspondence written or annotated by the Masters of the Wisdom – have been published in the books The Mahatma Letters to A. P. Sinnett, Letters from the Masters of the Wisdom, and Mrs. Holloway and the Mahatmas. Other letters are still being located in private collections, and these have come to light recently.

Letters that HPB was instructed to keep

One special group of ten letters falls into a special category because the Masters directed Helena Petrovna Blavatsky to preserve them. Each provides significant details about the history of the early Theosophical Society and its members. They are available as Mahatma Letters that HPB kept.

Letters in the possession of Countess Wachtmeister

These two letters of Master Koot Hoomi are from unpublished material left by Countess Wachtmeister. John Cooper obtained copies. Gustav Gebhard received a precipitated letter at his home in Elberfeld, Germany, and a few weeks later, his wife Mary Gebhard received a precipitated letter in the same house.

Other letters

As other letters come to light they will be added to this section.
