Tuitit Bey was one of the Masters of Wisdom, who belonged to the Egyptian section (Brotherhood of Luxor) of the Brotherhood of Adepts. This Mahatma was actively involved in the beginning of Helena P. Blavatsky's work in America, that lead to the founding of the Theosophical Society. He was apparently the one who gave her an order to form the "Miracle Club".

Mahatma Letters from Tuitit Bey

Two letters from Tuitit Bey to Col. Olcott were published in Letters from the Masters of the Wisdom, Second Series:

  • Letter 3 is the first Mahatma Letter received by Olcott, in June 1875. It was signed by three members of the Brotherhood of Luxor – Serapis Bey, Polydorus Isurenus, and Robert More – "by the order of the Grand" Tuitit Bey. This letter served as a major reassurance to Olcott regarding the existence of the Masters of the Wisdom and also the activities in which Olcott and his associates were engaged before the formation of the Theosophical Society.
  • Letter 25 is a fragment cut off from the foot of a letter written by Serapis Bey (that is no longer extant). It instructs Olcott to arrange for a pamphlet to be printed to benefit The Spiritual Scientist. LIke Letter 3, the note bears an oval seal with a design in black, white and brown, a small figure with rays encircling the head, and some symbols.
