Elizabeth Mayer Churchill was a American Theosophist of Point Loma.
Personal life
She married A. G. Spalding (1849-1915), another Point Loma Theosophist, who is known as a baseball player and creator of a business empire in sporting goods.[1]
Theosophical work
Mrs. Spalding served as superintendent of the Lotus Circles [a children's group] throughout the world and president of the Woman's International Theosophical League.[2] [3] She worked closely with Katherine Tingley in the 1897 Crusade of the Universal Brotherhood and Theosophical Society.[4]
In addition to her work organizing activities, she wrote for Theosophical magazines:
