- 1886 – The Adyar Library and Research Centre was dedicated by Colonel Olcott opened during the Annual Convention.
- 1911 – Apparent confirmation of J. Krishnamurti's role as the World Teacher at a meeting of the Order of the Star in the East.
- 1925 – While J. Krishnamurti was speaking about the World Teacher he abruptly shifted from the third to the first person. This was taken to be the first real manifestation of Maitreya.
- 1967 – N. Sri Ram dedicated the new building of the Adyar Library and Research Centre.
