- 1882 – T. Subba Row joined the Theosophical Society.
- 1889 – Annie Besant reviewed H. P. Blavatsky’s The Secret Doctrine in the Pall Mall Gazette.
- 1891 – A very serious epidemic of influenza reached London. Practically the entire staff at 19 Avenue Rd. was laid up with it, three of them being at death's door. Mme. Blavatsky had a very high fever, and her doctor, Z. Mennell, was seriously alarmed.
